The SAS In-Flight Sales Terminal App was designed to improve the efficiency of cabin crew during flights by providing an intuitive interface for processing sales of food, beverages, and duty-free items. With limited time and space during flights, the app needed to be intuitive, fast, and easy to use, allowing crew members to quickly navigate through a wide range of products and efficiently complete transactions One of the key features is the display of the most popular items, such as water and soft drinks, at the top of the interface, allowing crew members to process frequent purchases more quickly. The user flow was designed to minimize the number of steps needed to complete a sale, including intuitive product selection and the ability to assign items to specific seats effortlessly. As the lead designer, I created the solution from the ground up, handling the visual design, user flow optimization, and the development of a cohesive design system that ensured consistency throughout the app. After developing a realistic prototype, the solution was presented to SAS, and it has since been implemented, making the in-flight sales process significantly more efficient.
